The Augustinians supported the September Vocation Month of the Diocese of Surigao by participating in the vocation campaign that was organized from September 15 to 17, 2014. Fr. Jaime Ucab, DCS, the diocesan vocation coordinator, invited religious priests and nuns working within the diocese and with some guests religious from neighboring provinces to hold vocation talks to different schools. The schools were San Nicolas High School in Anao-aon, St. John's School in Bacuag, St. Augustine Institute and Gigaquit National School of Home Industries in Gigaquit, Claver National High School in Claver, and North Eastern Mindanao College, Surigao State College of Technology, Surigao Education Center, Caraga Regional Science High School, all in Surigao City.
At the closing mass held in the evening of September 17, Bishop Antonieto Cabajog, Bishop of Surigao, presided the mass at the Marajao Magbalantay Major Seminary. He was thankful to the different congregations for visiting his diocese and hoped that the seeds of vocation planted on the students will be sown in the coming days.
